Prom Night

Prom NIght! I'm not old enough to have a child go to prom....eeks! Well I guess the proof is in the pictures! Just had to share a couple of my beautiful Haley and her friend Colby. They had a wonderful evening starting with these pics from Downtown Springfield and dinner downtown before heading to the big event!

March Upload Day..

Hi, just wanted to check in and share a couple of things that have been going on in our neck of the woods. First, it's been CRAZY around here! We have had every kind of weather known to man in the past week!! The latest of which was snow....we didn't get ANY...but a few miles down the road they had 8 inches which was enough to keep us all home from school. Need I say more about what I was able to accomplish???!!! Anyway, I did find time to get my upload done over at HSS for March. I wasn't 100% thrilled with mine but wanted to share it anyway...I think I have the no MOJO winter blues!!! Hope to snap out of that this weekend when I will be joining friends to SCRAP!

Layout #1 was fun and used a great technique of just keeping color in a portion of the photo. Here I left the hat pink to go with the papers and the rest was black and white ....mainly due to an absolutely annoying bright purple t-shirt that Haley had on that morning!!! It also helped with the background "noise" in the photo. Oh well, ended up making a fun playful layout.


Layout #2 once again used the Scenic Route Loveland line for more than just Valentines. This was a simple design that worked perfectly with the picture.

My last project is an adorable, oversized Easter card that will go in my niece's Easter basket. It is so cute in real life...but it needs the perfect little chick sticking out of the grass!! So....I'm on the hunt for a cute little chicky!! (wink) Oh....this is the new Basic Grey Two Scoops with a couple of odds and ends that I had laying on the table.




So, that's the upload. I also wanted to share a couple of photos my dear husband took over the weekend. We decided to check out 12 Weeks to Better Photos over at Two Peas. Awesome information to help you better understand your manual settings. He jumped right in and started working on the first lessons.. I was pretty impressed with what he came up with after just one afternoon of playing! So...I leave you with a few photos...have a blessed week and see you soon!

Well, it's a new week! We have a little bit of sickness roaming around the house that I hope goes away REAL quickly! Not a lot else going on around here, just thought I'd check in and share the rest of the projects I made this weekend! Boy did I enjoy the creativity!!! Have a blessed day!

This layout was done using a sketch from Page Maps. Boy does that make a page go so much quicker!! This was super quick and easy!


AND, Couldn't resist doing another Frap jar! I first did these for Christmas...then Valentines... and well I just simply had to try it again for Spring!! Every time I do one, It becomes my new favorite!! LOL

I challenge you to try one this week! (if there is anyone besides Suzanne that reads this...LOL) They are super quick and easy and you can use anything you have around the house...is your jelly jar almost empty????? Look around and please let me know if you try one. You know, it's the little things in life that make it special....send one to a teacher, neighbor or friend. Make someones day special!!!

Been playing all day...

and boy has it been fun!! I remembered around noon that Create My Keepsake was having a crop today, so I decided to join the fun and enjoy a little inspiration. Well guess what...not only have a been inspired, had fun and got a lot done, I won a t-shirt!!! How cool is that!!

Anyway, sorry I'm such a bad blogger, I was so afraid of that!! But I'll keep plugging away at it here and there just for fun!! (wink)

Here are some projects done today...I must say these are yucky pics due to a few facts..........it's getting very late and I'm pooped!! That's fact #1! No sunshine to take a good pic...... due to fact #1. And.. really bad lighting in general also due to fact #1 because I was to lazy to LOOK for decent lighting!! EEKS! Enjoy! I'm off to bed!!

I completely forgot to share my projects here that I uploaded to HSS last Tuesday for the Feb. Upload!! Darn, I'm not the best blogger!! But here they are better late than never. I used a lot of MME Out & About this month!! I couldn't get enough of that stuff.

The first project is my card for Faith Sisters Scripture Challenge. I'm still trying to catch up on those.




This next two are for Haley's 6 x 12 book. Once again, if you have never tried that size you should. It is so much fun to work with. I will say her book will probably end up a little goofy because I can't decide which direction I prefer! They are both fun.



This was just a fun page for the boys. I was trying to use some simple scrapbooking techniques and use up some leftover pieces of paper! Still the Out & About collection!!


THIS last one is my favorite of the week and was not included in my upload. These are some Cosmo Cricket pieces that I picked up at our local hardware store. The paper was simple PERFECT for this precious picture of Tucker.



Journaling reads.....Did you grow so big??? When did you start looking like the boys?? When did you decide to be so darn daring???? I'm not sure when all this happened, but I know it happened too fast....When your grown and moved away...I'll be remembering when!

Just some "little things"

Still working to catch up on my Faith Sisters Scripture Challenges. So far I have simply put favorite scripture on front and back pertaining to the chosen word of the week. I hope to soon be able to describe what that word means to me. These are very powerful words that evoke many emotions. I hope to be able to share that at some point working through this challenge.

Been working on a few things...

First, these are a few goodies that I put together for a good friend of mine. (wink) Now if only I could get to the Post Office in a timely fashion, this said friend might just have a neat little surprise before Valentines Day. That being said, do you know how much I HATE to go to the post office????? ugh!!


This second project was inspired by FaithSisters.com. I had been lurking around there for the past month and finally just had to jump in and join the Scripture Challenge. I started late but I've almost caught up to week 4. I'll share my other 3 weeks as soon as they are finished. I hope to share these every week as I do them.



I'm not a card maker by any means, but I have found that it is a great way to use up scraps!! So, here is one that I did for a challenge at HSS. (the inside says "with you")
